By bringing all these aspects together, it is possible to master the art of creating original things from the tusks of the mammoth, as well as whole compositions of them. The duration of training depends entirely on the student and on his desire to master a new craft. Some will be enough for this and six months. And others will take at least five years.

The teacher’s figure plays no less importance in matters of learning speed. This may be a true master of his craft, but his manner of presenting the material may not always differ in clarity.

The third variety is represented by small bone fragments about 10 centimeters long and the same in diameter. The fourth is chips, which are formed only by fragments of natural material. As art is mastered, it is possible to switch to better second-class materials, which have been preserved in segments of up to 20 centimeters. But the first grade – ideally preserved tusks – only for professionals. This material has great aesthetic and material value. And therefore it is used to create exclusively elite souvenirs.
